Latest Update For PM Kusum Yojana On 1st February 2024 – Pradhan Mantri Kusum Solar Pump Scheme has been updated on the 1st of February. The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha even Utthan Mahabhiyan scheme which is going to help 20 lakh farmers in India by setting up standalone solar pumps. Furthermore, the Finance minister said that the government can help 15 lakh solarise grid-connected pump sets. Moreover, farmers can also use barren land for solar energy generation, set up solar power plants on barren land, generate electricity, sell extra generated electricity and have a livelihood out of it. What is PM KUSUM Scheme

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha even Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) in order to help the farmers of India. This is the scheme by which the government of India has launched to provide the pumps and agriculture equipment to the farmer.

What Are The Components of PM Kusum Solar Pump Scheme 2024 

The farmers got many benefits under the PM KUSUM scheme. The scheme is divided into three basic components that deal with solar and electric appliances used by the farmers. Under the budget of 2024, the following are components.

Component A: 10,000 MW of Decentralized Ground Mounted Grid Connected Renewable Power Plants of individual plant size up to 2 MW.
Component B: Installation of 17.50 lakh standalone Solar Powered Agriculture Pumps of individual pump capacity up to 7.5 HP.
Component C: Solarisation of 10 Lakh Grid-connected Agriculture Pumps of individual pump capacity up to 7.5 HP.
